"Seeing when you're blind" 

The Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) aired a program specifically on Charles Bonnet syndrome in August 2020 on Radio National's All in the Mind.

Hear the personal stories of three vision-impaired Australians plus insights into the syndrome from Professor Chris Plummer, a neurologist at St. Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne. Under the title Seeing when you're blind, the podcast of this radio program can be accessed here.

Online community

Isolation can be a problem for people affected by the syndrome. The advent of COVID-19, brought into even sharper focus the need for people to be able to connect with others especially when they're confined to their home.

The Foundation's online Facebook community began in late 2020. Take advantage of this free service that connects you with others who are either (a) living with CBS or (b) a loved one of someone who is directly affected by the syndrome. This is an excellent way to stay in touch with others in the CBS community. There, you can have control over the level of involvement you feel comfortable with. 

To join the community, just click on the 'Visit Group' which is located at the upper right of the screen. Once there, click on the 'Join Group' button and don't forget to answer the pre-membership questions.
