CBSF as a legal entity

  • The Foundation is listed as a public company with limited guarantee through the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).  

 

  • Australian Business Number (ABN) is: 35 160 445 090  

 

  • Endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) by the Australian Taxation Office. This means that all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible. 

 

  • The CBS Foundation is recognised as a charitable organisation with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 

  • Accredited as a health promotion charity by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

 

  • Became a formal legal entity in September 2012. The Foundation has been operational since March, 2013 and is based at Ross House, Melbourne CBD.

 

CBSF Board

The board comprises the following directors:

 

Inbal Steinberg

Technology consultant, speaker and educator. Previous roles as software developer, entrepreneur and technologist. 

 

Scot Muirden

Degrees in psychology and social work. Experience in psychiatry and vision impairment sectors.

 

Dean Errez

Economics degree with expertise in the banking sector - especially financial risk.

 

Patrick Moore 

Special acknowledgement to Patrick (1939-2023) as a pivotal player in the formation of the CBS Foundation in 2012. He was the President of the Macular Vision Loss Support Society of Australia (1994 - 2018) and regularly championed the cause of CBS during his long term of presidency. Patrick brought his lived experience of CBS - as well as a strong sense of advocacy - to the directorship position. He was an active and committed board member until his passing last year. 

 

 

 

The Foundation recognises that our physical office is located on the ancestral lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon wurrung nations. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
